My Diminutive Paradise

 I lay in my bed sleepless . Hoping for a cold breeze to take me to my dreams , i turned towards the window . The curtains danced in the gentle wind , letting in a shimmer of beautiful light . It was so magical , i believed i was dreaming .Time seemed to have stopped . I moved the curtains up and found it hiding behind dark clouds , revealing only a glimpse of its beauty.  I prayed for the clouds to move and they did . There it was, silky and white , shining ever so bright all through the darkness , glowing with life . Trees stood as dark silhouettes , leaves dancing with the wind , enjoying the glorious sight and adding more beauty to the night . I lay there staring , with my eyes wide open capturing every bit of this dreamy night . It was a sight of contempt , a sight of purity , a sight that took me gently to my sleep .

A place so beautiful , the morning sun gleaming through the bright blue sky , waking up everything back to life . Flower buds open up to greet the shining light , birds spread their wings to enjoy the playful wind whooshing through them. Sounds of her progeny , fill the air with life . The rivers splashes across , the green fields , creating a wonderful silver line .Earthly and heavenly !! The majestic mountains , the valiant soldiers of the woods and the powerful council men , serve her as her legion.With the power to give and take life ; the heart to punish and please ; the anger - violent enough to startle the grounds open up and take in the traitors , burn down her foes and splash away the honor less and the love that could make the whole world soak in happiness , spreading the fragrance of fun , filling the air with life , she rules .Wild she is . I have always wanted to have a walk through the misty roads early morning when the bright beast was still asleep . I didnt want it to wake up and ruin the adventure that i had planned for the new year’s first day . I started early from my home . The streets were just like i wanted them to be , dark , misty and silent . It felt like it was hiding something and it wanted me to play with it to seek that lays beyond . I accepted its request for the game . I just strolled through , with my whole body dancing and my teeth shaking with joy of being out in the cold . I was playing for a long time and yet didnt find anything . I was just about to accept my failure when i heard footsteps and faint sound of barks and grunt wines . In a recent history channel video that i saw it has pointed out that Norway has begun preparations for impending doom in 2012. It can be implied by the article that Norway believes there will be a major catastrophe to occur in 2012 and in order to preserve our current way of life, Norway has created a “doomsday seed bank”. Yes, thats correct… that is Norway’s official name for their global seed bank. The ultimate goal is for the continued survival of plant species if (or when) there is a global disaster. Dark rainy clouds , rain drops gently hitting the window , a misty view of the streets , water running down the roads . It was a great weather .  The rain drops hitting the glass looked like it wanted me to open the window .I was worried i would get wet . But i couldn’t hold , i opened it . The rain drops caressing my face , the cold breeze’s scintillating touch , the music i was hearing , all these made it heavenly . I chided myself for not opening it earlier . She made me happy  - the rain . I wonder how many had fallen in love with her like i did .  But soon she disappeared ,leaving me desperate. She will return soon and give me the delightful experience as she did always  .

         A recent news in a local daily  appreciated a man from Madurai named chinmayanandham . We all have studied and listened to so many lectures on “Say no to plastic” .But how many of us follow .Not even 10% . With so many problems like global warming  , sea level rise , etc ., what do we do as a responsible citizen to help and save nature in the least possible way that we could ? I guess the answer would be - Nothing !!! .
